The province of Teruel is the setting where this route is developed, which follows the trail of the Sierra Menera mining railway. From the Jiloca valley to the high lands at the foot of the Javalambre and Gúdar mountain ranges to the Palancia valley passing through the surroundings of the city of Teruel. There are many surprises that this 92 km long itinerary holds, one of the longest in the entire country.
Description of Vías Verdes
The Ojos Negros Greenway between Teruel and the Valencian coast is – at the moment – the longest Greenway in Spain. Due to its length, 167.5 km, it has been divided into two sections. The Palancia River Valley is the setting where this stage takes place on the Sierra Menera mining railway. From the Barracas plateau, at the foot of the Sierra de Javalambre, the Ojos Negro Greenway descends to the rich Valencian orchards on the shores of the Mediterranean.
