Camino de Santiago - Ruta del Argar
Distance 105,42 km
Stages 5

Description of Camino Santiago

The so-called Argar Route has its origin in Lorca, an initiative that started from the idea of many adventurers and Jacobean pilgrims who understood that the departure to the Holy City should be located, as historically it would be, from the place of origin of each pilgrim. The name Ruta del Argar is due to the supra-regional idea that has been given to this Route. Let us remember that the Argar culture emerged in Southeast Spain many hundreds of years ago. The Camino de Santiago as a Route of Cultures, a union of peoples, will have with this Route a new event of relations that goes from the Southeast to the Northwest of the Peninsula.
